This is a pair of very desirable Altec 1570- BT. From what I have been able to gather the "BT"designation stands for "Theatre". Right now they are in very good condition. Cleaned up some minor rust on the transformers. These 1570B 's are going to be restored to operating condition. Sometimes listed as Altec 1570BT or Altec 1570B-T or Altec 1570 BT. They are sometimes referred to as the "Voice of the theatre" amps. They were used extensively in drive in movie theatres and indoor movies screens as well. They are now super rare and much sought after.
Specs include: rated output 165W - 275W [max]
Altec 1570BT Tube compliment :

Below is one of my pair opened up for its photo shoot. The Ceramic Anodes need replacement, as well as upgrades to the multi section cap. I am also laser cutting a set of face plates, as these units were missing theirs. At some point I am going to getting these units to Tom Tutay, the renowned expert on these Altec amps
